I have a very strong preparation purchased thru the Hypericum Buyers Club that is assayed at 5% hyperforin.
My main concern with SJW is will it disturb the levels of my medications?
1. Would SJW be a good adjunct to Wellbutrin XL 150?
2. I take thyroid medicine and blood pressure medicine and should I be concerned that their levels will be lowered and not be as effective?

Hope this helps: http://www.rxlist.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=96348&page=3#Interactions
I don't think you have to worry too much, just take SJW a few hours after you take you thyroid medication to make sure it does not interfere.
I'm don't think Wellbutrin is metabolized by the CYP450 liver enzyme so you probably don't have to worry about it either. I would do some research though just to make sure.

Yes I use synthroi and still have anxiety and depression issues. Maybe depression and anxiety damage the thyroid. Or is it adrenal fatigue?

My nurse practitioner looked up SJW interactions and told me it interacts with of all things, Adderall! WTF? Doesn't sound right. I'm on Bupropion and it raises liver enzymes. SJW does the same so it wouldn't be safe to take Wellbutrin and SJW. Is there any AD out there that is safe to take with SJW?

I still think it's worth a shot to try a low dose of SJW and see how you feel.
This is the end of the thread.
