Would you be open minded to trying some things for energy? Here is a list of things that come to mind and may be good adjuncts to your pharmaceutical treatment.
Schisandra-Planetary Herbals Schisandra Adrenal Complex
Holy Basil-New Chapters or GAIA
Rhodiola-New Chapters(I prefer), Mind Body and Spirit, or GAIA
Ashwagandha-Sensoril or Himalaya Herbs
Eleuthero-Not sure which brand is best, haven't tried yet but heard great things about it. I bet GAIA or Planetary Herbals makes one.
Are you taking a good fish oil supplement? I think fish oil can help medications work better through simply making you brain function better.
I thin exercise would be tremendously helpful. But, I do agree that if you don't feel well, exercise will not only be hard to do, but will unlikely give you the same benefit even if you force yourself to do it.

I've tried a *lot* of meds / alternatives. Some of the ones that have been more helpful include:
SJW, Omega-3, folic acid, melatonin, vitamin C, coffee, blueberries, lycopine, turmeric, dark chocolate (or cocoa), methylphenidate, chlorpheniramine, fo-ti...

>Nice, that's a good list. What are you taking now aside for Omega 3s?
Are you still in the state of mind of being open to trying things you have not tried yet. I'm sure none of them will have a magical enormous impact, but it would be nice if they at least helped.
Are you still eating blueberries and taking turmeric? I was just curious since they are just good for overall health, especially the blueberries.
Why were you taking lycopene? Not for mental health reasons were you? I take Lyc-O-Mato for heart and prostate health and a little natural internal protection from the sun.

The list below is I guess my *usual* list. I will cycle through different things on there, in addition to diet/exercise.
On an everday basis, I take o3, chocolate, coffee and some methylphenidate. It changes though. I'm always open to new treatments. The lycopine seems to have a beneficial effect on my mood. I remember reading somewhere that it increased dopamine, or affected monoamine oxidase. I know quercetin and turmeric are MAOIs. The beta-carbolines in chocolate/coffee are also MAOIs.

Not sure about this Phillipa, but you may want to eat the dark chocolate in the morning or during the day as it may interfere with sleep.
This is the end of the thread.
