I've been using chelated calcium and magnesium for a couple weeks now, and have noticed I sleep better and I have more energy during the day. I must have been deficient in these two minerals. For sleep, I take a chelated cal/mag supplement which contains 500mg of calcium and 250mg of magnesium PLUS 200mg more of magnesium citrate. That way I am getting a 1:1 ratio, which works better for me than a 2:1 ratio. I noticed that I need at least 450mg of magnesium to get a good night's sleep and also the calcium is essential as well. If you want to try calcium and magnesium, only buy the chelated forms. They work very well. Throw out the magnesium oxide. It's junk!
