In 1989 I first heard of CoQ-10 and it was promoted as some sort of miracle supplement. I purchased a bottle from GNC and took it because I had read it was necessary for the heart.
In the summer of '89 I was off nortriptyline, so I was feeling anxious like my old self. Usually I had a rapid heartbeat even at rest due to generalized anxiety (when I'm not having panic attacks). I would guess my resting heart rate back then was about 80 and maybe 90 when standing.
I took one capsule of CoQ-10 and my heart rate dropped to 60bpm when standing. I'm not sure if this was a good thing. It felt good for my anxiety since it did slow down my heart, however, I am very sensitive to every sensation in my body so I was afraid to continue with that particular supplement.
Has anyone else found it to slow down their heart rate?
Thanks,
