Does anyone know of an herb, vitamin, or mineral that increases dopamine and/or norepinephrine in the prefrontal cortex? I have ADHD and have had mild success with Rhodiola Rosea at 100mg. BID. However, after 4 weeks, it's efects are waning. Should I increase the Rhodiola, or is there a better option out there?
Thanks in advance.

I dunno about the prefrontal cortex but once I took rhodiola with deprenyl. Not much of either. Probably 100mg rhodiola and 1 or 2mg of deprenyl citrate first thing in the morning. It wrecked my sleep but I found it powerfully synergistic.

I don't know about the prefrontal cortex specificially. But for overall brain activation, including boosting NE and DA, Gingko Biloba does that.
St Johns Wort is a reuptake inhibitor of serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine, gaba, and glutamate, with approximately equal affinity for all of them.
Acetyl-l-Carnitine is a brain activator.
Also check into the nootropics such as Piracetam, Hydergine, Lucadril, and Piracetam's various cousins.
This is the end of the thread.
