There is much to be said on the net regarding this company and its puported reason for existence. In doing my own investigation on the subject I have found that these postings are old information indeed. Health Canada has lost their court case as well as already issued an NPN number for sale in Canada. There are University double blind studies under way as we speak and the 5 Medical Journals that have already done preliminary analysis of EMPower are pretty impressive. In my opinion anyone tossing this aside for their own pre-conceptions is absent of a scientific mind. I feel bad for Mr. Stephan that he has been the victim of so much rebuke. It appears he has several ememies and has gone through much in his personal life to bring him to this point. Obviously his story has validity otherwise Harvard et al would not have given this the light of day. Something of this nature could not survive this long based on a lie. It will be interesting to see the results of the studies.

Thank you for your sober response. I'm a psychotherapist specializing in Bipolar Disorder and I have a strong preference for investigating any and all complimentary and alternative treatments. Most of my bipolar clients take psychotropic meds and most of them hate them (but not all). Yes there are many to try, but they are all poor substitutes for meeting the body's true needs. Zyprexa for expample, while helping reduce mania for many - also is responsible for untold numbers of severe obesity problems, diabetes and death, which I don't need to research, as it would be a waste of my time. I only have to look at my patients as their weight goes up by 10, 20, 50 pounds in a matter of a few short months, to see that this is insanity. (And I've never seen any of them return completely to their former weight). All of my clients have done better when using a variety of holistic methods to stay well (usually in addition to their medication).
I have a patient who is about to try TrueHope, and I've asked him to consult with his psychiatrist and do it in the most cautious way possible. I'm hopeful his doctor will support the experiment and pray that it helps him. Years of medication have helped, but have not prevented debilitating depressive episodes thus far.
Thanks for the discussion.
