Hi all! I found this board the other day,...it's great!
I was diagnosed w/ bp2 in '99. Since then I have been thru *all* the mood stabilizers and now my body is reacting to just about all chemicals I put in it. I recently had to go off of the last MS due to adverse reactions and tried Taurine. Great stuff!..brought me out of a mixed state within a few hours!...then after a few days I got very very irritable. Thought the Taurine just quit working but from what I've read on the board that can be a common thing and Taurine may not be needed on an ongoing basis (as in "X" amount daily like a presciption med). I skipped it for a couple of days and came out of that horrible irritable mood. Now I'm back to low grade depression.
I'd like to take Remeron along w/ the Taurine...is it ok to mix the 2? I'm leery of anything new right now (have been on Remeron in the past and it agrees w/ me)...even leery of new supplements since I am reacting to darn near everything these days.
Eventually I want to come off all Rx meds.
I also take 1mg of klonopin 2x/day.Thanks in advance for suggestions/ideas!

Unlikely that there would be a harmful
interaction, but always best to be safe."Start low; go slow".
Ratchet up slowly. Observe.
