Wellbutrin with Ginkgo and Gotu Kola

Posted by essentialexistence on August 19, 2007, at 14:11:29

Hi all, this is my first time posting and I was wondering if anyone's had experience combining wellbutrin with ginkgo biloba and gotu kola for the mental fog phenomenon. After a little over two months incrementally ascending to 300 mg of Wellbutrin SR I feel my motivation and interest coming back, but my memory and concentration are still quite poor and are just as detrimental as lacking entirely in motivation. Any comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hello!! and welcome to babble....

Well. I'm pondering the idea that motivation isn't something that comes in a pill -- its a by-product of leading a happy life. I have, at times, suffered from a lack of motivation -- pretty bad in fact. But then again, perhaps its a lack of self esteem? That is also a factor in lack of motivation issues. Or so I've come to notice.

But, I'd be weary of combining anything herbal with wellbutrin - You just don't know. Unless you're clever and can work these things out.

Have you tried searching the archives? I know for a fact that I posted a monograph about gingko from HerbalGram. Search for my name and 'ginkgo info here' and it should could up. That should have a section about possible drug interactions. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are the blood thining meds and stuff like that. Gotu kola, I have no idea. I might be abit too strong with both of them.

Have you tried Rhodiola rosea?? That was pretty stimulating and motivation enhancing. Also the amino acid tyrosine (look that one up too).

Kind regards

Meri
