I tried it and wow did it stimulate me. It felt like my heart was buzzing all day. The anxiety was not pleasant to say the least. I only tried 500 mg at night and once again the next morning. It finally wore off later that night. I was really hoping to add something for ocd and heard it helps. One does not realize how potent some non-meds can be.

> johnjyep, been taking it for over a month now.. twice a day..powder in capsules 750 mg per cap, only I tip it out of the capsule as I don't think the plastic cap or vege cap is great for us. I take either half a cap or a fullcap depending on how my eyes are and how I'm feeling.. or how slack I am.
It think it does seem to help me feel better , but I can't say how. It might stop my eyes from being so red and stinging, although not clear as yet?.. it might help with blood sugar normalisation?
Interesting you say it helps with energy, I'm still tired but not usually feeling like I'm unconscious almost:-)So far all I can say for sure is it is a real nice tasting sugar and so when I get any meds that require sweetners/sugars compounded I'm going to specify inositol as the filler!.. hopefully this will work as a carb or sugar?
I think I like it , but I'm unsure as yet to why..http://tealady-health.blog.co.uk/?s=inositol&sentence=AND&submit=Search

I tried it for 3 months, I posted my experience with it on this forum last year.
I tried it to treat panic attacks. I took approx 6 - 10 grams a day, maybe more. It did nothing to help unfortunately and when I stopped taking it I felt worse than ever, it seemed to have a nasty rebound anxiety effect. I do hope it works for you, there's very little studies to 'prove' it's effectiveness though.

Wow, thats some reaction from such a small amount.
The recommended doses for OCD are MUCH higher than that.
Have you tried the scientific approach of stopping it then retrying it a couple of times to make sure its the inositol thats definitely causing this reaction?
I must say my histadelic trype regimin (see my other thread) seems to be doing ok at easing my OCD problems. They are still there, but much less intrusive and bothersome. Been a while now and whilst I'm a natural cynic, it must be said that I really think this regimen helps.
Give it a shot, what have you to lose? Don't expect miracles overnight by the way, its a slow and subtle effect.

Thank you very much. I just saw everything and will have to take a look when I am not so tired. I like the idea of augmenting my med right now too. Yes, I know it is not over night. I wish it was but that is not reality. It took a while to become ill and it will take a while to heal.
I am pretty sure it was the inositol and I don't want to push it right now so I will wait and see. The problem is when I have a bad reaction it takes a few days to get over it. Yes, it was a small dose but that is how I react to everything.
Thanks again and we will talk.

Thats a VERY good question johnnyj! Some of it from here, and some from google, ie I'd type in my symptoms or 'depression vitamins minerals' or some other similar search and see what it throws up.
Its taken me a while to sort out what does what, and I've still not even scratched the surface.
Glad you found my other thread useful :-)
