I passed lot of years on amisulpride for enhancing motivation and mood, but its effect last only 1 or 2 days than faded. It gave me hugly side effects and, when the effect passed, i remain in a bad and anxious condition. Last time i had a pshycotic reaction against my parents and friends, so i decided to leave it.
I try Tyrosine 2 caps (500mg x 2) a day.
From the first day i feel a little more motivated, more easy to speak, lifted mood. They are very mild effects but i think that tyrosine is the nearest substance to amisulpride that i have ever tried. I have no reported any side effects at all.
Any experience wuth this substance, effects or side effects? Correct and maximum dosage? It usually poop out after weeks?
Thanks in advance for your share and help!
neo.

You could type in "tealady tyrosine" (without the quotes) i the google search box in the bottom? .. about 5 pages of links?
or just tyrosine may do it too?
basically.. usually works well in many but so far in everyone builds up after a few days to a few weeks.. as expected I guess.
You have to watch this build up though as it is fairly sudden.. and it causes people to get a tad aggressive, irritated etc.
should all be detailed it you read over past posts

I am confused. You got a nice effect from amisulpride for a couple days and then it faded. But you were on it for years? I don't understand that. Why would anyone stay on a drug that long if it helped for a couple days and nothing after that? What size dose did you take?
When I tried tyrosine it made me feel good for a couple days and then no good after that. As I kept taking it I started getting paranoid, more depressed, anxiety, jitters, shaking fingers. I felt good at first, and then bad.
My experience with amisulpride is similar to yours.

Bluberry, you are confused because my English is a lot incorrect and i am unfamiliar to it.
I would like to say that i was on amisulpride for a lot of years discontinuosly. It worked well for 2-3 day and than i should stop (1-2 weeks) and re-start to have the same effects. In fact a continuos assumption over the 3rd day gave me somnolence and dizzyness.
It is a very annoying schedule, but it is the only one that have ever worked for me.
In fact, I was on almost every AD in commerce here in Europe (ssri, tca, maoi, snri,.....) with a worsening of my situation every time.
So...amisulpride is currently my only possible choice. I was on every dosage from 12.5 mg to 200, but i didn't notioce great difference in the middle range. Only over 100 mg i got EPS (tremors, muscolar rigidity,...).
So apologize, I hope my English was better understandable, this time.

Ah, I see. Very interesting. I started amisulpride 25mg 2 weeks ago. I got a good feeling the first and second day. After that I got somnolence and unusually fatigued, and yet couldn't sleep well. At 50mg I again got a good feeling for a day, but then I got tremors, grinding my teeth, bad insomnia and bad sexual side effects, and all the good effects were gone. I can see why you would rotate it. I stopped it today. Not sure what to do now.
Have you tried selegiline? Also called deprenyl or selepryl? Since you respond well to that dopamine chemical, selegiline could be good.

Blueberry, i'm 100% in accordance with you!
The effects you have reported are exactly the same that i had.
Reading up and down this board, i found out that almost every Amisulpride users do report the same effects: i suppose that it has something to do with the initial dopamine boost and the consequent development of dopamine receptor tolerance.
I tried to stay on Ami continuously for more than 2 weeks, despite side-effects, but the initial right effects didn't return: it didn't work again.
Sometimes i think that the dosage is still too high....or too low, truly i don't know how to make it work continuously yet.
If you will find the way, the schedule or the dosage, please let me know it!
Selegiline, unfortunely isn't available in my country, but I will somehow try to find it out abroad.
Keep me updated.
Bye.
