Real sorry you are not still around here buddy. I for one found your postings invaluable, and this was brought home to me today as I trawled through the archives for a few things and your name repeatedly cropped up.

Feeling a bit rough myself just now and fancied a chat, but I even seem to have lost your e-mail address. :-(

Seasons greetings to you anyway Lar :-)

Hi Teejay,

I miss Larry too, and never more than when I read back on old threads. I hope that his continuing absence from us reflects well being on his part at least!

Sorry to hear you are feeling low.

I've lost track of the thread now but I've been meaning to respond to a previous post of yours about experiencing most of the magnesium deficiency symptoms I had posted and how frustrating your attempts at magnesium depletion have been. I responded at some length but then had my computer freeze up before I could post. Then I never got back to it.

Anyway, what I was going to suggest was "Magnesium Oil". From my reading, this is actually magnesium chloride in about a 25% concentration in water. Apparently it has an oily feel to it which is why it is marketed as "magnesium oil" or even "Magic Oil" but all it is is magnesium chloride in water! That's per George Eby's magnesium/stress/depression site. http://george-eby-research.com/html/dep.html#rectum

It's ridiculously expensive for what it is, http://www.globallight.net/Magnesium-Oil-8-Oz.html http://www.seeknatural.co.uk/product-1343.html especially considering that magnesium chloride is used here to "salt" icy roads.

I was in the process of looking for someplace where one could buy a reasonable quantity (somewhat less than a ton for instance!) to make one's own "Magic Oil", when my computer froze up and I lost all my work in progress.

Anyway, if you've already tried Epsom Salt baths as a way of getting magnesium into your body (and bypassing what may be some sort of problematical intestinal absorption issue) and it didn't work, perhaps the magnesium chloride would be different.

I'd like to try it myself but not at the exorbitant price of the commercial preparations. I want to figure out how to make my own.

JL
