What is a good herb or supplement to mimic xanax? To me xanax is both calming and mood brightening at the same time. I am trying to avoid it though in favor of natural.
I did poorly on all other benzos. I did poorly on magnesium, gaba, glycine, 5htp, tryptophan, glutamate, kava, and I forgot a few others. They all depressed me more than I was. Xanax doesn't do that.
The start-up hyper effects are from ultra low doses of 250mg acetyl-l-carnitine and 150mg sjw and 1000mg high EPA fish oil. They have already helped depression a lot in just 3 days, but the stimulation is over the top. Need to calm it down. What can do that besides xanax?

Niacinamide? I recall Larry Hoover recommending that in the past to people looking for an alternative to benzos. See previous posts on this board.

Niacinamide works best in conjunction with Inositol, Vitamin B6 and GABA. Twinlabs (GABA Plus) and Country Life (GABA relaxer) both have 'relaxing' formulas based around this.
These formulas aren't anywhere near as powerful in effect as Benzo drugs, natural methods usually aren't so noticibly powerful. If you want to try and elicit a more powerful effect via natural means then herbs are more likely to offer this.

I suggest you half your fish oil, most people dont find sjw all that stimulating and your on a low dose. I found 500 mg of fish oil way too stimuating, however it kicked me out of my depression real fast.
