Neuropathic Pain, How to tell?

Does anyone know how to tell neuropathic pain from regular pain (other than going to the doctor who says....I dunno).

Well, usually it is more of a shooting pain. And it sometimes is accompanied by tingling and numbness. And sometimes it burns.

I've been having a soreness on my left side. Sometimes right on the hip, sometimes more near where my spleen might be. And my low back pain gets much worse when my anxiety is worse.

I'm thinking I might be allergic to nuts (makes the flank cramping worse). I'm back on my low dose of klonopin. Helped a lot with the low back pains.
