I would also like to know how long fish oil takes to work. Some more of my blood tests came in today, results showed really low omega 3 fatty acids in fact very low, no wonder ive been feeling low. Magnesium and zinc and chromium are low as well. Very low for mag and zinc. Every time I take fish oil or mag or zinc ive not noticed much fish oil made feel worse. Everything im low on i get paradoxical reactions to when taking...hmmmm any idea guys

An interesting question that, and I've occasionally had similar contrary reactions.
Not tried it myself, but maybe because you are VERY deficient in these nutrients, you need to supplment them sparingly and up the dose gradually as perhaps your body is trying to compensate for the sudden influx?
Fish oil is an odd one, some people just dont get on at all with it (I don't). Same with big doses of B vits sometimes mess people up too. I have heard that adding other oils into the equation can soften the effects of fish oil though. Cant remember which ones but perhaps borage oil or evening primrose oil?
Hope it helps

I can't take fish oil either, but I can take flaxseed (linseed) as the ground seeds on my brekkie, if I have rolled oats or similar. That provides omega3's too.
This is the end of the thread.
