I'm slowly reducing Klonopin, but i've been on benzos (Mostly Ativan)for 26 yrs., and am scared of possible withdrawal problems. Anyone know of ANYTHING that may ease or eliminate possible withdrawal symptoms? I tried to go off Ativan 5 yrs. ago and when i got down to a 1/2 mg. a day, i was "climbing the walls" i felt so lousy, tense, irritable, just plain sh*tty!! HELP PLEASE..my pdoc thinks going off benzos completely will help me a lot w/depression probs.
Thank you all,
Monte

This site has plenty of professional information about how to withdraw.

Melatonin and Vitamin B3 are two supplements that have been studied to help with benzo withdrawal.

Yes it's Vitamin B3 also known as Niacin.
Niacinamide is a specific form of Niacin and that can also be beneficial. Only take one form of Vitamin B3 at a time though.

Herbs I have found useful are
zizyphus
skullcap
vervainI wonder if low dose phenytoin (less than 50mg/d?) might be useful, but I took it for stuff like this and I really don't know.
Vitamin C
Magnesium
Taurine
GABA
Niacinamide
