My friend asked me about herbs and supps for memory. She mentions reading about something and just not remembering anything a few days later, people telling her things and she just forgets. Ive had the same problems myself (though its better after being in treatment and being health concious).
She doesnt have alot of money to throw around trying many things. I did tell her that EFAs should be good, and b-vitamins. Im hoping that I can help her find something that will help her a little sooner.
Recommendations?

I've heard good things about Rhodiola and noticed that it sharpened my cognition after taking it for a few days. (My depression was wreaking havoc with my memory recall.) And I seem to remember Christiane Northrup saying something about Acetyl l-carnitine, but I don't know anything about that....

Jake,
What is this? What's it do? I noticed it at Whole Foods in the cognitive function aisle. {grin}

I wonder if PS is useful in depression? I've never taken it on its own. Rhodiola was fine, but I loved it with deprenyl. I guess it made me high and I could hardly sleep, but I was surprised to find that for a few days I enjoyed everything, before sleep deprivation got the better of me. As good as Parnate, I think. Rhodiola might be more useful if it was more short acting.
