I keep reading conflicting results on studies about whether gingko affects MAO. Some say they potentiate conventional MAO inhibitors. Other's disagree.
What do people think ?

Yeah linkadge, I've read those conflicting reports too. It's my guess that if ginkgo has MAO activity, it is probably only significant at high doses.
I've tried ginkgo only up to 90mg a day, which you know is pretty low. I admit though, I got a nice stimulating antidepressant effect from it within hours at just 30mg the first day. It felt noradrenergic to me. It never felt quite as good on followup days though. Now when I take it I really can't feel it.
I'm in the middle of focusing on other supplements right now, and didn't want to confuse things with ginkgo, so I'm just staying at 30mg. But if everything else turns into a dead end, ginkgo is high on my list.
This is the end of the thread.
