Ibogaine.
Does anyone have any feedback as to the usefulness of this substance to treat opioid dependence?
Does it have any potential to treat mood disorders?

I took it once. Sort of like harmine, mescaline even, though not so smooth and a suggestion of things moving around in peripheral vision. The suggestion that it could have some therapeutic effect on opioid dependance surprised me. Like all hallucinogens might conceivably have? Or something peculiar to ibogaine?
Scott, anything that works is a good alternative to methadone.

If I recall, I was asked by a friend to debunk it, to dismiss it out of hand. I found myself unable to do so. That's all I recall just now.
