Hi, my name is Bethany and I'm 16 years old. I began having terrible panic attacks nearly a year and a half ago at the age of 15. In April I began taking medication. Right now I really don't have a whole lot of time to go into my story, but I hope that the few things I say will be of help to some of you.
If any of you are suffering from phobias, anxieties, panic attacks, or other related illnesses, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Linden Method. I truly wish that I had found it sooner, before I began taking medication.

THIS IS NOT SPAM. I really have tried this program. I purchased it once I had already stopped having attacks (for about a month) but it still has helped me in many ways. I have a much greater confidence now when it comes to attacks, I no longer fear FEAR. I haven't had an attack in 3 months. Right now I'm going through some crazy stressful situations and haven't had a single attack. TODAY I WENT TO THE RESTAURANT WHERE I HAD MY FIRST ATTACK, A PLACE THAT ONCE FREAKED ME OUT, AND ENJOYED MYSELF!...and the food! Since doing the Linden Method, my progress has been greater than it was with the Effexor and Clonazepam.
If I started the Lindem Method sooner, it would have been a much easier and CHEAPER road to being panic-attack free. The e-book gives Linden's story, details about panic and what it is, common misconceptions, medications NOT to take, ways to cope, foods to avoid, the importance of correct breathing, along with many others things. The relaxation CD that comes with the package is awesome! A little tai chi video is also in the package.
Charles Linden offers an affordable, medication-free program that has helped many people. If you're skeptical about it, don't be! There's a one-year no questions asked money back guarantee. Try it and if it doesn't work, get your money back and join the hoardes of others who take medication.
May God bless you all!

I was just looking at his website yesterday! I don't even check this board very often... very spooky.
I'm glad the Linden Method is working well for you - I'm still struggling with my anxiety though each day is different and I'm trying not to anticipate the bad ones.ClearSkies

I checked out this 'linden method'. But I cant seem to figure out what the method is. There are many scams out there, and I cannot afford $200 on something that doesnt even explain its process! So, any help here? What does it do and WHY does it work?

The site really doesn't explain too many details about the method, but hopefully my explanation can help a bit.
The biggest part of the Linden Method is that it basically helps lower your 'anxiety benchmark'. It helps take your subconcious back to the way it was BEFORE you started experiencing panic attacks.
The Method includes a section called The Nine Pillars. Each 'pillar' is about a page long. They're basically rules that are extremely important to know and comprehend in order to be panic-attack free. I found myself laughing as I read some one them because it was so ironic that I had done the very things that you aren't supposed to do when dealing with anxiety. I researched like crazy, thinking that something else was wrong with me. I thought constantly about my condition, only making it worse, I relied too heavily on others. Instead of diverting my mind from the anxiety, I dwelled on it, etc. The Nine Pillars is the fundamental part of the Method. Each pillar is extremely simple but necessary. Some will be more helpful to you than others.
The schedule for the nine pillars is this: for nine days, you read one of the nine pillars each day. Before reading the short section, you listen to the Nine Pillars audio portion. Also, a visualization/relaxation audio portion is included in the package and you are supposed to listen to it TWICE a day. After you finish the Nine Pillars, you go on to read the rest of the e-book. The rest has Linden's story, the 'Anatomy of Anxiety' (a section that explains symtoms in detail), and other things that I previously mentioned.
It's kind of hard to define the method because really, it's a lot of things blended into one. But what it DOES it that it helps you understand anxiety and the fact that you can defeat it without medication. It's a behavioral issue. Physical factors may make certain cases worse, but they are not the cause of anxiety.
I purchesed the downloadable version that is less than $100. It might seem pricey, but compared to the cost of medication, it's nothing.
LET DOWN: Before, there was a money back guarantee within 6 months (I accidentally said a year). Now it's 90 days. It stinks that they shortened the time but really, if you do see any improvement, it should be within weeks to a few months.
Another non-medication method is offered by www.thinkrightnow.com , a totally different company. The CD is about $30. I'd recommend 'Dissolving Panic and Anxiety'. http://www.thinkrightnow.com/catalog.htm

I also checked out the "Linden Method" website and you're right, it is expensive. They must be making quite a profit. I'm not suggesting it doesn't work just because they're making money at it, but there are cheaper alternatives which may or may not work as well.
Check out Medigrace's cd's. They are a non-profit organization, their prices are very reasonable. Their "Calm Healing" CD includes a 30 minute relaxation/meditation and two breathing/visualization exercises. Go to
http://www.medigrace.org/methodsmg1.html . I have no association with them, am just a customer. Also, a good daily meditation practice can, I believe, be very helpful. There are CD's, books, and multiple courses on meditation. Yoga practiced regularly would also give similar results to the Tai Chi recommended in the Linden program. Courses for both are offered everywhere.> > I checked out this 'linden method'. But I cant seem to figure out what the method is.
