I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether it would be really dangerous to supplement my Lexapro with a little 5-HTP. I mainly want to use it for sleep. I currently take 15 mg. Lexapro and was thinking of adding 100-150 mg. of 5-HTP in the evenings for insomnia. Are these doses of both substances low enough so as to prevent something like serotonin syndrome from occurring? What if I were to take both at the same time (I always take my Lexapro at night)? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

>Change that to 50 mg, from 100-150 mg, and I'd agree it is worth an experiment.
Just be extremely alert to changes that may be related to serotonin syndrome.
