Has anyone found that SAM-e made them very tired? I'm also taking 5 mg Lexapro and was hoping that the SAM-e might offset some of the tiredness and apathy. I seem to be even more tired now.
Thanks.

I did quite a bit of research on SAM-e several months ago when I tried it. Over and over I read that there are virtually no side effects. When I was on it and when up to the higher doses, I did have some stomache upset. But I never read a word about it causing tiredness. Doesn't mean that it can't, though. Must be very frustrating. How long were you planning on trying it? I tried it for thirty days because I read that if you don't see improvment by then, it's probably not going to help. It does have this pretty remarkable track record of being as effective as many anti-depressants without the side effects. I do wish you improvement -- I know how dibilitating that tiredness can be. And if you're experiencing apathy too, even worse. My thoughts are with you.
