Since stopping my Effexor 6 weeks ago, I get extremely depressed the 10 days before my period and it gets very bad for me. I read on anther board that testosterone cream is great for PMS or PMMD. I bought some testosterone cream and am not sure the proper schedule/routine to help the PMS symptoms. Is it applied every day of the month or just the 10 to 14 days before your period? How soon do you feel relief of the mental and physical symptoms of PMS?

I've not tried testosterone for PMS, but personally would be very wary of messing with it as it may have a masculinizing effect of increasing hairiness and acne.
There are studies that show calcium and/or magnesium, and possibly others, as helpful for PMS.
