> I am taking 600mg manerix (Moclobemide)and 600mg Lithium for my anxiety/depression. I added in SAM-e 8 days ago and for the last 5 days I have been at 800mg of SAM-e.I felt no difference until today.Today, I feel more tired and have a head ache.It feels like the symtoms of an increase of seretonin.Does anyone have any experience with SAM-e, should I have waited to try it on its own or should I feel good effects even though I am on other meds. I have read many stories of people using it with ADs and having good results and in some cases were able to stop their ADs or cut back on their doses.Your feed back would be appreciated....

Stan-

I tried SAM-e and couldn't take it because it increased my anxiety. I have a friend who is just starting to take it and will try to keep you posted on how things go for her. She is not, however, on an AD at this time. I tried SAM-e both on and off an AD but only ever made it a few days due to anxiety.

I am toying with taking Manerix (actually, it will be aurorix, but same difference) and am wondering how you are doing on it.

This is the second time for me taking Manerix. The first time was in the early nineties,it worked very well for a couple of years, then, stopped working properly. This time it is taking the edge off, (nothing great) mixed with some other meds. No side effects to speak off.
