Yes, 5htp will be usefull for Effexor withrdrawl. However, another product which, by itself helps with antidepressant withdrawl, works synisergically will 5htp. That is vitamin B6.
I would start with 25-50mg of B6 a day, with 25-50 mg of 5-htp a day. Take it twice a day if possible.

Stupid question, but whats 5-htp? ( I'll try just about anything to help with effexor withdrawl.)
