Dear Lar, I just want to thank you for giving your best to everyone who wants to know about all the chemicals that they feel and wonder about taking. I have learned so much from you. I look for your name and am always interested in what you have to say. thank you for being yourself.

I agree. Not only is Larry very special in the breadth of his knowledge, and his innate intellect, but he also commits his time to this board to help answer questions.

I have to say I'm a big fan of yours too, Mr. Hoover. I've now gone a month without Zoloft, mainly with the help of you and some books (Eric Braverman, Julia Ross, Cass and Holford).
I'm responding so well with amino acids and vitamins, I noticed the effect within a day of taking them for the first time. I feel even better than I did on the Zoloft. The regimine I settled on after some trial and error is 2g of L-Tryptophan (taken with fruit juice, and without any other protein at night) and 500 mg of acetyl-l-carnitine in the morning and a multivitiamin in the morning and at night. I'm also taking 300 mg of Neurontin as a holdover to help me sleep from my Zoloft days. It used to be that whenever I got off a-d's, I would become depressed and anxious again. So far so good on the amino acids, but I'm taking it a day at a time.
Do amino acids have a poop out or any tolerance issues? I'm using biochemicals L-tryptophan. I read once that you use horse tryptophan. Where do you get the horse tryptophan?
Thanks so much,
