I want to feel supportive to Lou. I want to be polite to Lou. I don't want Lou punished or banned from Babble.
Is it so bad to want him to stop with the accusations? Is it really so bad?
Is it bad to expect an administrator, and one that I have been personally fond of, to care that I be treated with respect on a mental health board?
I realize it's not going to happen. I'm just raging against the dying of the light.

And oddly enough, even were the accusations to stop, the light is still dying.
I will never be able to forget that Dr. Bob didn't think I was worthy of respect on his board. That he thought it was ok for sh*t to be flung at me because I might have others to support me.
Yes, that is personal and maybe it shouldn't be because Dr. Bob thinks the same about everyone. I just don't know if anyone else cares.

I don't think it is bad for you to want Lou to post differently. I often wish people would do things differently. I do think that it can be unrealistic to expect others to change, and that it can more particularly be problematic to attempt to coerce others into doing things how we want things to be done, however.
I think that you have gotten a lot of respect on these boards over the years. You have been supportive to a great number of posters and I remember that a lot of posters quite often posted in appreciation of your contribution here.
I'm sorry that you don't feel that you get enough respect here. I, for one, respect you a great deal. I really don't think that Lou (or anyone else for that matter) could post anything at all that would alter that for me.
Are you concerned that Lou will manage to rally the troops somehow?

Dinah I for one have always been amazed at your way with the written word. I highly respect you and have always thought that you were more than fair. Phillipa

I thought so.

I haven't had time to tackle much here, but let me try to start. I see your point of view as:
1. Lou's posts are accusations.
2. Allowing Lou to keep posting = not caring that you be treated with respect.
Whereas my point of view is:
1. Lou's posts are hypothetical scenarios of low probability.
2. Allowing Lou to keep posting = treating him with respect.
Reasonable people can disagree, right?

Hot damn, Bob, you nailed it, simply and succinctly!
This is the end of the thread.
