What sort of animal is it from?

I'd guess croc or alligator, although at first I thought snake.

Actually, I find it a little mesmerizing in a sorta evil way, which is not really such a good thing.

It's to remind you that Dr. B is always watching (nm)

I hate it. I feel like Dr. Bob is looking at us (which he is through our posts). Nope I don't like it all. It has a big brother thing about it.

It seems so alien that I never even thought of Dr. Bob.

I'd just like to know what kind of eye it is. It's been driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

my sister gave me a magnet for the refrigerator..
it's an eagle, with a prominent eye, facing toward its side
it says "I've got my eye on you."
sort of sweet :-)

It looks alien to me too. It doesn't bother me. I think it looks very interesting. I am however, every curious as to what kind of eye it is!

Please tell us Dr. Bob!

The skin looks leathery, but there are feathers or hairs around the eye.

Which makes me think it can't be reptilian.

Well I think it's extremely beautiful, probably something to do with the fact it's not mammalian.

But maybe that white stuff is hair?

I think it's an African vulture.

I love how its glassy black eye is framed by perfectly wrinkled leathery skin and glistening white hair.

I find it quite beautiful, too.

Maybe. If it is a Rorschach, then it's a great one.

Well, at first, the Oculus looked annoyed and skeptical as it was surveying its territory, but now I think it's unbothered and amused.

I see it calmly sitting back and observing with detached interest as things unfold...with a bag of popcorn to munch on. It's a good way to be.

I really do find it quite beautiful. It becomes more mesmerizing the more you look at it. I would love to see its full face someday.

Apparently, Bob is quite the photographer.

I think you met him, yes?

Is Bob beautiful and mesmerizing in person? So he is more than just a "brilliant and reticent Web mastermind"? ;)

I'm enjoying the pictures from Africa. You live in an amazing part of the world, Vwoolf. :)

Feathers, not hairs. No, not reptilian.

It might just be a trick of light, but I think I see the suggestion of a haw to the left of the picture. If so, that would be the inside corner. So the eye would be on my right, which would mean the left eye of the bird?

Just a guess tho.

No, I think that's just a trick of the light.

I have no idea.
