Purple usually indicates a link you've clicked before that your computer remembers.

It's very strange as babblemailed a lot of people multiple times in the past now if you check a lot of them I did last night the only one that was red-purple was Blueaberry. Check and see? I could find no others. Why would your computer necognize a posters name. I know I've babble sigi a few time and not red will look and see what happens thanks for your knowledge. Phillipa

Your computer recognizes sites you've visited recently, such as someone's babblemail page. So probably you had babblemailed blueaberry recently, and other people back beyond the time that the cookie (which stores information about visited sites) expired.
Cookies can have expiration times from a few hours, to years, so probably on babble, the expiration date is fairly soon after you've visited that page. Blueaberry's name isn't purple on my page, because I haven't babblemailed him recently. It totally depends on your personal activity.
