I can not explain why this happens, but my 2-3 last threads have been provocatively ignored by the participants of psycho-babble and generally, i usually receive input from no more than the usual 3-5 persons who are kind enough to give me their insights.
At a first glance, you could easily say that this is a general phenomenon which has hit the whole psycho-babble board, but by looking at the front page more carefully, i see that this "phenomenon" targets at.. me.
I've seen threads getting much more credit than mine, even if they come from leechers, flooders, people who opens even 4 threads for nearly the same subject, casual offenders and threads with silly content like "I increased my X dose from 50 to 55mg!!!!!11 What will happen to me???!!!!11" or one of those `yet-another-nardil-question` threads which have been answered, literally hundreds of times. In any case, i have decided to go with the flow and adapt. That is, to become passive. I will sit back, just reading threads which i'm interested in and not bother to make a post even if i know the answer to someone's problem/question.
I will make an exception to those mentioned 3-5 persons, of course, as i hate been ungraceful. Although, they seem to be much more knowledgeable than me and i will not be able to be much helpful to them...Anyhow, if someone wants to contact me privately about this, please do.
I'm going to shut up now.

Amigan,
I apologize if I have offended you. I have a policy to only post on topics I can offer insight on. So lately I have been pretty silent. (I am currently a mess with little to be able to sort out in my own life much less offer someone else). I have little medical knowledge as I am only on three meds related to MI. I have some general health issues and on meds for that. I understand how you feel though, I have posted threads in the past that rec'd little response. I actually refrained from starting threads in long time(although I finally did one recently on psychology)
I would venture to say that Babble itself has rec'd little traffic in recent times. It is because in my humble opin from a fissure or a breach in trust from Bob and the changes in policies that left many Babblers feeling unsafe. I myself left for awhile. We did I think lose a lot of dear babblers. I have been here for only two years so I am no expert but i notice traffic way down.
so I think sometimes responses are slow due to less traffic and less people feeling safe.
So I would not take it all personally. It probably feels personal but I don't think it is.
I don't want to mess up threads just by posting I am sorry you feel that way I have nothing to offer but maybe I should or others should just so babblers don't feel rejected.
again sorry you feel this way.

Sorry you're feeling badly. I did look at your posts, however, I didn't respond to the one as I have no experience with tourette's. I do with agoraphobia but it was panic attack related. I didn't feel I could offer anything.
I do feel badly when I see someone's post go ignored. I usually only respond if I have some knowledge in the area concerned, and even then it's with some caution, as I don't know all the scientific gargon...it makes my brain hurt!
I hope you keep posting. Babble needs all the traffic it can get right now.

Amigan I usually respond and even if no knowledge just to let you know someone cares but been criticised for posting too much. A double edged sword. I'm sorry. I will see where they are. Phillipa

> threads have been provocatively ignored by the participants of psycho-babble
> they come from leechers, flooders,
> casual offenders and threads with silly contentI'm sorry you feel ignored, or provoked, but please don't post things that could lead others to feel accused or put down. Perhaps you could just tell people how not having the responses you are looking for, or many responses, makes *you* feel?
> I'm going to shut up now.
I hope not, not if you have something you'd like to say. Maybe there could be other reasons besides those you've thought of, that people didn't respond? As others have said, I'll bet it's not personal *at all* but just one of those things that happen in an online community. Posters are not here, busy, don't know anything about your question, or are here and feeling: shy, hesitant, tongue-tied, afraid, confused, tired, ill, inadequate, and so much more. I know those are some of the reasons I can't/don't/won't post. I'm just suggesting it's very possible it has 100% nothing to do with you at all. Does that make sense?
If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ: http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil
Follow-ups regarding these issues should be directed to Admin and should of course be civil.

Amigan if you look at the board many threads do go unanswered. Sometimes no one knows the answer to your question. I'm sorry. Phillipa
This is the end of the thread.
