If only she had prefaced her comment with, "It can also be irresponsible to leave..." (an irrefutable fact). This is harsh punishment for a well-intentioned admonition, IMHO.
Anyway, I think that all of the Babble face-to-face encounters of which I have had the pleasure to have been apart were well planned and prudent public meetings. Babblers, I find, appear to be even more interesting, sensitive, and may I dare say, civil in real life.

I think it's inevitable that reasonable people can interpret something differently. That's why I'm glad that Dr. Bob is aware of our actions and can (and does) override them if he sees fit.

I admit to wondering myself why there wasn't a warning here instead of a block. The overall tone of the post was supportive - just her strong feelings about meeting up with strangers seems to have come through.
just my two cents.
And I agree - the Babblers I have met face-to-face have been nothing but sweet, caring people.
