Good ideas for a HOME page for this site?????

Any body got good ideas for Bob?
I just know when I've come to some sites I've really found their 'home' page a useful entry and a good place to go back to to further search their site. Some just seem good and user friendly, but I dunno eaxctly what it is that makes them seem so good to me?
Any ideas?
