Why is everyone dumping on the deputies? They do a thankless job it seems, and I would like to see Dr. Bob back them up. Is this what it will take for folks to stop getting upset about blocks? I never saw this happen before when Dr. Bob was more active and backed up the deputies.

He did back them up somewhat a week or so ago by thanking them for the job they do. I don't have time to find the thread now, but I know I started it a week or two ago. I think Dr. Bob tries his best, but there are things such as real life that cut into his available time.

I see no evidence of that.
I thought criticizing the deputies was forbidden and should only be done by e-mail to dr-bob according to clarifications posted here. Has this changed?

I think most people who are upset are upset with policymaker-bob not the deputies.
I don't think the deputies take it personally. Just because I disagree with the deputies actions doesn't mean they don't think I'm an adorable person or that they don't want to marry me.

most of Bob's expressions of gratitude are restricted to thanks for compliments people give him! but i think the deputies are probably a distant second in the gratitude sweeps and thirdplace would be very rare thanks to the posters who volunteer their time answering posts and supporting others;)
