It wouldn't be accurate -- she's GREAT company, and I'm only sorry Dr Bob missed a wonderful dinner with us.
Dr Bob was also a charmer, and I hope we all have a chance to get together again.
I feel very fortunate to have had this opportunity.

This is good for my ego. Thanks for the kind comments. This is where I usually duck out.

Don't you have friends in real life, Dr Bob? Don't people find it strange that he wants to hang out with a bunch of women in the grip of transference? Don't people find that just a little disconcerting?

No. I don't find it strange at all.

Please don't jump to conclusions about others or post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down.

Feelings of outright love, seeing if anyone else is in love, meeting gorgeous women for drinks.... (just stating facts from a couple of on-going threads)
Personally, I'm thinking of becoming a Psychiatrist..

>I know this is boilerplate wording Dinah, and I'm not arguing on behalf of the original poster whose views are seperate from mine, but perhaps consider that people in a position of high responsibilty or authority should be the ones most scrutinized, even if as you say, it leads them to feel 'accused'.

The PBC was not related to Dr. Bob. It was for posting something that could be considered jumping to conclusions about posters, or that could lead them to feel accused or put down. Neither of whom to my knowledge have said or demonstrated that they are a bunch of women in the grip of transference for Dr. Bob.

If Dr. Bob believes that that was a respectful statement about those posters, or that it was not in fact jumping to conclusions about them, he can always override my decision.

I guess this is why I don't post over here much. But who do you think you are to interpret MY motives or make such statements that insinuate lots of negatives about MY life? I realize it was directed to Dr. Bob but it was even more insulting to be sort of an aside in your criticism.
It actually takes courage to meet people IRL, no matter what the circumstances.
I've worded this 10 difference ways so I'll stop. What I really wanted to say isn't lady-like. I will ask this: Do you enjoy being a kill-joy?
*sigh*

I understand that you are upset and feel hurt, but please be sensitive to other posters' feelings even if yours are hurt, and please don't post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down.

Follow-ups regarding these issues, as well as replies to the above posts, should of course themselves be civil.
