I'm sorry for making light of death or injury. From now on I won't even talk about death or injury.
Thank you for the addendum. That was nice of you to include that. I think it's a great idea to include that part about not taking things personally. Thanks for the crises links.

Dr. Bob,
I'm really sorry about my behaviour while blocked. I'm going to try really really hard to stop them. I'm sorry I'm a little obsessed with you. I think once I meet you in real life and realize you are not as I imagine I won't be obsessed anymore.
I can still go to the Babble Party right? I swear I'll be good. I'm very different in real life. Please don't be afraid of me. I swear I'll be good. I swear I don't and won't stalk you. I'm not *that* obsessed.

I look forward to some kind of a head count, so I can bring an appropriate number of butter tarts. No counting calories on this weekend. :-)

I found this website that offers custom made T-shirts for sale.
We could design a Babble T-shirt together.

In reply to Here is my T-shirt design..., posted by Deneb on February 20, 2006, at 21:24:12
The minimum number of T-shirts to order is 10 at $14.74 each.
The prices go lower as you order more.
At 15, it is $11.44 each.
At 20, it is $9.87 each.
Taxes not included, not sure if costs for design elements are included, but that is the price quoted. You would also have to pay for shipping if you're not going to the Babble Party. Shipping is free from CustomInk.
We can set up a system whereby people who want a T-shirt can maybe send their money to Dr. Bob? I suspect people will be more comfortable sending their money and addresses to Dr. Bob rather than to me.
Dr. Bob can pay me back at the Babble Trip.
Is this a good plan?
Now, all we need are people who want to buy the T-shirt. I'll buy one to start.

Correction...
the minimum is not 10
From the site:
Minimums
There is a 6 piece minimum for screenprinted t-shirts.Most embroidered items have a 12 piece minimum.
We offer the lowest minimums on the Web across the entire product selection.

> About the APA meeting, Dr. Bob, you mentioned a while back that we could attend one of the presentations before ours to get a feel for what they are like.
Sorry, but that may not be possible because we'll be at the beginning of the day:
> Program participants who are not APA members and will automatically be registered for the meeting, (except for those presenting industry-supported symposia who must register and pay the fee) with the registration fee waived only for the day(s) you make program presentations. Nonmembers who plan to attend the meeting on other days and/or enroll in courses must register and pay the appropriate fee by fax or mail only.

Don't stress about it, I'm still trying to sort some things out with the t-shirt place...

Sorry about trying to take your job. You should communicate more. I'll back off with the planning if you're planning it.

Does this mean that we can attend presentations on the day we present?
If others are interested, I would mind attending some of the other presentations...hehehe, get behind the scenes and see what pdocs learn. :-) Too bad I'm not in medical school...then it would be free.
There's a difference between the presentations and the CME courses right? You have to enroll in the courses. Say, does that mean that us non-members can enroll for courses on the day our registration fee is waived? Too bad we won't get credit for the courses LOL. $100 for a half day, that's a bit expensive for me...now if I get credits for it...then it might be worth it.

I heard back from the APA. This is what they wrote:
Nonmember presenters can attend other sessions on the day of their
presentation and enroll in a course on the same day but if they want to
attend any other day they must pay the daily fee ($400) if their adding
one day or the full time fee ($785) if its more than one day. To enroll
in a course or add additional days, the registration form should be
completed and faxed or mailed to me with a note indicating they are
already in the registration system as a nonmember presenter and should
have proper payment. There is no discount for the registration fee for
nonmember presenters.Mrs. Hope Ball-Mann

Darn, I forgot to ask what presentations there are on the day we present.Hmmm...she referred to nonmember *presenters*....I'm not sure I would be considered a "presenter"...I would have to be registered in their system. Would we be registered in their system Dr. Bob? Or do you not know?
Oh well, I'm too afraid to go to one of those presentations alone anyways. I'm afraid I'll look out of place. Is anyone interested in them?

Oh no, did I post private information without permission? I don't think I did because anyone could have gotten that information. I think that information would be useful for those going to the APA meeting. I think that information is meant to be available to anyone who seeks it. That information was not personal, it was business related...much like the phone numbers and addresses in the yellow pages.
Also, I know it isn't good to post more than three times in a row, but I just really had to ask this question, plus two were in reply to other posts.
