Why did this not receive a PBC?

The use of the quotes around 'illness' comes across as an attempt to dismiss to the brutal reality of what a severe mood disorder is.

A number of people seem to find the term 'pop pill' or 'pill popping' uniquely insulting.

Using swear words is ungraceful, but IMO, not particularly offensive. If we're going to outright block people for using <donkey synonym> or <gas pass synonym>, why not at least a PBC for using a phrase that consistently causes distress?

Yeah, I think there's a very good point made there. I haven't seen the whole original post though, so I can't say for sure.

I can see how it could be interpreted that way, although I did not interpret it as such. I'm not sure the use of quotation marks around a word has a clear meaning assigned to it.

Perhaps this needs to be reviewed by Dr. Bob. I've seen the term used before in the archives without action, and this is how I made my decision.

Dr. Bob?

"I can see how it could be interpreted that way, although I did not interpret it as such."

Thats not the point! The person who reported it clearly WAS offended by it.........offence is all down to personal viewpoint and why the current rules on this site often cause sooooo many problems.
