Dinah here, acting as deputy for Dr. Bob.

You've been warned to be civil before, so this time I am blocking you. Dr. Bob will review and set the length of the block involved.

If you have any questions, please do not reregister under another name, but contact Dr. Bob through email.

Thanks,

Dinah

I revised the Please Be Civil to a block, after reviewing the rest of Admin posts today. I am aware that so has been blocked before, so I don't believe the action is unwarranted. But you are of course free to revise my decision, as always.

Just following this thread a bit, and quite interested I must say. I have never popped in and read anything on this board. It does raise my blood pressure, and I start thinking up many questions I would like to ask SO. When did you get your Medical Degree/PH Degree? Where did you attend college, and where did you go to graduate school? I would love to know how you scored on your GMAT. I assume you scored in the top 95%. You seem to know so much about psychiatry and psychology, you must be very successful in you own practice. Are you a psychologist? What degrees do you hold as well? -L

After all what happened, i'm really interested to know how long this will be for?!

Is it possible he/she has been blocked permernantly?

Kind regards

Nick

The cap is currently at a year. If the year long block is violated, he starts it over at a year.

It's my opinion that Dr. Bob is way too lenient sometimes.

But that's just me.

Please don't post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down.

If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil

Follow-ups regarding these issues, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.

Thanks,

Bob

The last time he was blocked it was for 2 weeks, so this time it's for 6.

After being blocked this time? Does that add any time?

What about the emails after being blocked? Does that add any extra time?

If not, doesn't that pretty much free anyone to do anything after being blocked?

Sorry about the uncivilness of that post in question Dr Bob.

Please check your email, Dr. Bob.

If you see this first.

My calculations say that posting while blocked doubles the original block. Even if you ignore the emails, which seems poor recompense to your deputies.

I am outraged.

I have a copy of it, too. And, as the person at whom that post was directed, um, er, how shall I say this? I think intent in this case should be taken into account when deciding if the block should be extended...

Now I suppose it's my turn to be patient :)

wanna play Tiddly Winks?

Having read the post you deleted, I can only speculate what was in the emails, but I feel sad that your volunteering to be a deputy may come with unexpected um, side effects?

Sorry, I forgot about that! Since that post was uncivil toward a particular individual, 6 * 3 = 18 weeks?

Well, that's better.

Ok everyone, open season on deputies in emails!

But really, the dog aspect has been done rather often. There are lots of other things I post that can be used to hurt me.

I can't tell anyone which pieces of my private life should be used to hurt me, of course. It was just a suggestion for the sake of variety.

Sorry I posted in haste.

I should have said that I might feel hurt at reading, not "used to hurt me". I can't of course know the reasoning behind anyone's saying...

Well, I won't go there.
