And speaking of the offending words, for several reasons, there will be no f*rting!!! Got it, gg?

You didn't answer if you were anxious. Is that none of our business?

So that makes those who have posted that they are definitely coming:
Dr. Bob
Partly Cloudy
Poet
Dinah
Fallsfall
Auntie Mel
Annierose
All Done
Toph
Rainbowbrite
Spoc
GardnergirlAnd possibly coming: (fingers, toes, and eyes crossed)
Happyflower
Sorry about the repetition of this post, but I seem to have unofficially started keeping the head count, and this is the easiest way for me to keep track.

>Yeah, hey, what gives! Get that woman on the horn! Doesn't her new man even have a bike (hopefully that was "motorbike," but either way, no excuses! They're young and strong, they can pedal here! And if I remember right she has a beast of a car too)? I can see it now, kicking up the dust as she and her true love motor out of the Indiana corn fields on a Harley bound for Chi Town; a long scarf draped over her hair and trailing off into the wind behind her; big black movie star sunglasses; elbow-length silk gloves and a red dress; cigarette holder and champagne glass in hand (well ok, half-empty bottle of gin)...

Dr. Bob -
I gave everyone the same "family" name to use for our reservation. So I think that will help with us finding each other AND keeping those away who do not know the name. But any other measures you want to add are okay by me.
Personally, I feel quite safe in such a public place.

eyed monster :-( I wish I could go and meet y'all. It sounds like it is going to be a really nice weekend. Maybe if something takes place next year, and I am still around Babble, I will be able to go (especially if it takes place in Toronto).
Hope everyone has a good time. Have fun!!!!!

Hi! Still trying to work everything out. What is the nearest train station and how far is it to the restaruant?

I don't think it's wise to reply via the web the answers to your questions. I did give you the phone number and address to the restaurant. I'm sure they would be in the best position to help you out.Good Luck! Hopefully it will be a beautiful evening for a short walk from where you exit the train.

Absolutely! Babble wouldn't be Babble without you!
Someone was going to look into setting up a conference call (during Friday dinner?). Could you call and join us that way?

Dear Dr. Bob,
I think the babble-party is a superb idea and it seems you believe in that forum and you want to give compassion even by connecting p-babblers personally. Unfortunately I can not come to chicago this time from Europe. It is so sad.
I do not forget to complete a list for self-help groups in CH. It only requires some time.

Activities will be taking place in the immediate downtown area around Michigan Ave, from Friday din din to Sat. park(s), window shopping or an architectural cruise (or other; Sat. activities are still in negotiations). To get exact details one has to post that they are for sure coming one of the days, then you can join the yahoo group set up to discuss it.
But Mike, I'm sorry to inform you that any male who shows his face on this thread and divulges that he is convenient to the event must then attend. ;-)
(Just kidding peops, I know it will go fine with mostly estrogen too!)

Sorry everyone, I just can't make it. I found out about this too late, and I just don't have enough information on what is going on to make plans, and I am going through some tough issues in therapy right now and it is hard to concentrate on anything else. So I hope you all have a great time, I will miss you all. :)

Well poo. We'll miss you. I know about therapy being intense, though. I had to go out of town to a conference at a time when I was all stirred up. It wasn't pretty. Take care of yourself. :)
