allowing users to create case history

Posted by johnsmith12345 on January 18, 2005, at 15:54:18

Hi, when someone asks a question, and is not a complete newbie to the board, usually they've made other posts which give more information on their particular case. Instead of having to go searching for these posts, it would be nice to have all this information in one spot. You should allow each user to have a profile, which describes the medicines and other therapies they've tried, the sort of depression they have, etc.

I wouldn't use it personally.
I kind of like my anonymity.
And the point that people get to know me over time...

Dr. Bob's been having adding the ability to have a profile for each poster on his to-do list for some time. In the meantime, there's always Yahoo.

There are profiles there. I think they're pretty public, though come to think of it, so is Babble. :)

home thread?

I'd like *editable* home pages in Babble, where you could put personal info and update it. For now (in addition to Yahoo) we could also have a sort of home thread. In Social, one could just start a thread about herself. Write whatever she wants people to know. As it needs updating, she can just add a new response to the thread. Then, at the bottom of every post she makes elsewhere, she can put in a link to her home-thread over in Social. (And if we get automatic signature lines, it would be even easier.)

This is the end of the thread.
