So I was thinking on the sigline post and then John Smith made a thread on a board for dxes and meds...I think maybe that could be made into one and the same so that when we post we could have or dx and meds as well as my disclainmer and those who also may have some all in one small area. Just a thought

Well, that would create a lot of unnecessary clutter for someone reading through a bunch of posts. It should be made so that only interested people can see the case history. This can be done by having a little "disclosure arrow" at the bottom or top of the post that when clicked shows the case history. For most people it will just say "case history", with a little arrow next to it. But when they click on the little arrow the case history will sort of fold out. And when they click again it will fold back in.
All of this would be very easy to implement in javascript.

Actually, what if the poster's name linked to their profile instead of the babblemail form?

I like the link to Babblemail.
I wouldn't like to look at profiles
But like the handy Babblemail link...

I like going straight into babble mail.
And I would like it if the "profile" is something that the casual user won't bump into, but is looked at by people that really care.

Good point, Mel. I tend to agree.

But then one would need to go into the profile to get to the Babblemail link.

It is very difficult to make a web page that changes on the fly without javascript. Why not continue the link to babblemail through the user name, but have a small link on the side or bottom of the babblemail page that lets you see their profile.

The server now makes all these pages on the fly...

How would you get to their profile if they didn't have babblemail turned on?

Could you move the babblemail link to near the top of the page? Along with the links to open and the other boards etc. Then the current babblemail link could become a profile link but there would still be an easy way to get to the babblemail link. All you would have to do that you currently don't have to is copy and paste the posters name into the babblemail box to address the babblemail to them.

But how would you get to babblemail if they didn't want to publish a profile? Assuming of course that the profile is voluntary.

A babblemail-only profile could be published for them?
