Hi Doctor.
In his original request, Lou did not specify what it was that he felt might not be acceptable about the post he cited. Now we know that it was the use of the term "sh*t". I have always been confused as to what you have determined about this sort of "contraction". Could you specify what you find acceptable and unacceptable regarding this sort of allusion to profanity?

Dr. Bob, I believe you have edited posts that contained the actual spelling out of offensive words, as defined in FAQ, and changed them to reflect an illusion of the spelling. Thus, the original post would have contained the actual word spelled out and an amended post (that would be seen now) would contain the edited (by you) version. Am I correct?

if one looks at the entire thread noted, the original post contains the actual spelled out word and when you reference it for a block, you edited the word in **your** post.
The point being, amended spelling versions are allowed, correct? As you utilize those yourself?

I am withdrawing my request for a determination in regards to this thread because someone here has clarified this for me.
I did not know that one here could use the star to replace a letter in a word that has the potential to be offensive and by doing so makes it acceptable here.
Thanks to the others here that clarified that for me.
