(general admin question, not targeting cajun belle)

So, is this notification just to let us know that when we see the name, we'll know it's not a new poster?

As opposed to knowing who it was before?

'Fraid so Shar.

Here are the guidelines that Dr. Bob is using currently: http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil

Also, please don't post under more than one name at the same time. If for any reason you feel you need to change your posting name, follow these steps:

Stop posting under your current name.
Re-register ("for the first time") under a new name.
Post a message (under your new name) at Psycho-Babble Administration saying that you used to post under a different name. But not necessarily specifying that name.
The last step is to try to reassure people that posters who appear to be new really are new.

So once again we just take it in stride and play nice with those we feel comfortable with and stay out of threads that have that odd feel to them. Especially ones about maneuvering around this difficult site.

I had been posting under Kristen_03,but at the time I had joined there was some problems here with someone else named kristen...I felt that because of this I never have been given a fair chance just for the fact that my name is also kristen..so this is the reason for the name change to CajunBelle
Thanks

CajunBelle,

Thank you for offering up an explanation. From the FAQ it appears it isn't necessary to explain oneself but just to post that you've changed names.

It is very considerate of you to link yourself to your previous name after all that has gone on around here in 2003.

Keep things spicy Ms. CajunBelle!

CajunBelle,

I hope you see the above as complimentary and welcoming because that is my intention with such silly words. Your name is just too delicious to leave be! I couldn't resist. I wish you well on these boards and with a name like that you're certain to be noticed and hard to forget. I for one commend you on such a great choice for a name change. You were most considerate in explaining too. Thank you for easing jittered nerves.

Welcome! (albeit rather late)
