Apologize to who?

Well actually, Phil, I was mistaken. Dr. Bob already did apologize to Oddipus. He said "Sorry, wrong link". But it didn't engender the appropriate shock and awe among those who think he never apologies.
So perhaps a half apology for letting this get out of hand, and not addressing it according to his stated war discussion policy as outlined at the beginning of the war?

I'm having some serious depression, so I get lost in threads very easily..always have. So, I had to ask.
I just read my PBC: Did someone say our troops are evil and mindless and an American life isn't worth saving? Please be sensitive to the feelings of others and don't be sarcastic, post anything that could lead them to feel put down, or exaggerate or overgeneralize, thanks
I think Drbob covered everything except my punctuation. That PBC leads me to feel put down. I'm glad this thread is over. My time here is growing short, I'm afraid.

That would be a shame Phil. I enjoy your posts very much. As I always say, remember that it's the posters who make up the board, not Dr. Bob.
I'm sorry you're in a depression. You've always been so, oh I'm tired and can't think of the words. But you've always seemed like you could hold your own with the beast and give it hell in return. I often think of your post to me about taking suicide off the table. I'm not sure I'm there yet, but you gave me something to think about. I hope you start on the road back up soon.

I tapered off of Lexapro, last dose 10 days ago. Dizzyness, nausea, shocks have worn me out.
Had to leave work this a.m. and started taking Lex again.
Suicide is still off the table; I haven't had a life in years but I'll keep what I have. My head feels like it was slammed by a fastball.
Nother day in paradise.

He wrote these words to me in a post recently:
"I see your point, and should've said something, sorry."

You're right Kara. I've actually known him to apologize quite often. I was mainly teasing to lighten the atmosphere.

If it's ok to insult countries other than your own, Phil's PBC clearly should be rescinded.
I'm tempted to tell a few jokes here, but won't.
And do as you wish. I'm taking a leave of absence.

Dinah,
I agree with you. I was only responding to someone saying that Dr. Bob never apologizes.

Well, it was an apology nonetheless. It doesn't mean I don't agree with you.

Please address the question of when it is acceptable to make any sort of vile parallels if there is a question mark at the end. This will surely come up again.
Please retract your PBC to Greg and formulate some kind of guidelines that will eliminate the kind of posts that he was replying to.
Alara has apologized on PSB. Please acknowledge her apology and remind her of the civility guidelines.
The mistake you made posting the link to Goerhing caused a distraction. Thanks for apologizing for that. Now that you have dealt with that mistake, please address the issues we have raised.
Thank you

I enjoy your company.

Noa, I'm already feeling good, for the most part.
I had to see if one of my drugs was still necessary cause it sucks. Well, it does suck but it is a good AD and I was reminded in short order how important these drugs are. So I'm back.
Got a story that I will try to write to you on PSB tonight. I'm wired so it's hard to be succinct and just get to the point. : )Thank you.

sounds like the stinky but necessary reality that we live with, for now, that some of our meds do their AD jobs but not without a price. I think of this as the "next best thing" until something better is developed.
See ya back at PSB.

Sorry, but I can't spell out exactly what will be acceptable here.

Sorry, can you give me a URL?

Would she like an acknowledgement from me? I did appreciate her response. But since I didn't consider her post uncivil, I don't consider it necessary to remind her of the guidelines.

I agree with fayroe ;) come over to the new board. I'm sorry Dinah, but I see a lot of posts here by you that are always argumentative. I hope you get to feeling better.
I'm only responding to posts that are productive.
Take care,

I'm sorry, too, but please be sensitive to the feelings of others and don't post anything that could lead them to feel accused or put down. Last time, it was for 1 week, so this time, it's for 2.

I can't figure out what you are expressing regret for here. So I'll just apply it to an issue of my choosing. Thanks. And they laughed when I asked for an apology!!!!!!!!!!

I have modeled this closely after the post you found acceptable about paralells between terrorists and allied forces. I am struggling to understand your requirements for civility. Please tell me if this acceptable. Thanks.
Here's a paradox: Terrorists in our society are supposedly evil. The definition of a terrorist is a person who cause fear and anger and humiliation.Yet our board administrator causes fear and anger and humiliation. Our board administrator is not a terrorist? This is not about power and control?

fayeroe,
You wrote,[...you let Lou...{demand) clarifications...which make people feel put down...].
I feel that your use of the word,{demand} here is inappropriate, for a request for clarification is, well, a {request},and not a demand.
I feel that a request for clarification is good , for if the requested clairfication comes forth, then more is contributed to the discussion and I feel that more support and education could arise from that, for more discussion could be contributed as a result of the unveiling of what was requested to be clarified. As far as a request for clarification causing people to be put down, I disagree with your conclusion, for clarification allows another to , well, clarify and have the opportunity to clear up any potential misunderstandings.
Lou
