Hi again, everyone,
I also thought it would be interesting to try more systemtatically to collect data on adverse events:

Well, I was going to leave it out, but those are the standard FDA categories. See, for example, the Medwatch site:
http://www.fda.gov/medwatch/report/consumer/consumer.htm
The FDA is concerned with drugs, of course. But (1) the form here is for any adverse events that occur during participation in PB and not only those that are caused by it and (2) if a congenital anomaly were caused by a drug that someone took because of information here, PB could be considered to have played a role...

My attempt at cloning, while reading PB, produced
a 2 headed love child. Does that count ?

This seems like a slippery slope to start on, no? Are you required to ask for adverse events?
To say that:
>>if a congenital anomaly were caused by a drug that someone took because of information here, PB could be considered to have played a role...>>
worries me. Why would you open the door for taking responsibility that isn't yours? What happened to the "Caviat emptor" idea? The advice here is from lay people, not professionals and you have done a good job of telling people that it is just an exchange of ideas, not professional advice.
do you still have the quiz requirement to sign on to post?
For non-posters, maybe when someone first comes here to read and lurk, there could be a pop-up window telling them what this is and to read the intros and FAQs, etc.

No, just to report them. :-)

An adverse event can occur during participation in Psycho-Babble without Psycho-Babble being *responsible* for it...
