Hi, everyone,
This may not be of much general interest, and it's not a perfect system, anyway, but I set this up for a project and thought I might as well make it openly available:

Average reading age is 5? That must be why I love to read your posts!!! Even if you are retarded, I get a lot out of them. I am afraid to rate mine. I would be averaged to a toddler with a picture book!!

You get:
> 10.72 Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level (age level - 5)
Which means the grade level is 10.72. And grade level = age level - 5, so age level = grade level + 5 = 15.72.
I've just made it a separate calculation now. :-)

Oh...
Chicago, Chicago, that toddlin' town
Chicago, Chicago, I will show you around - I love it
Bet your bottom dollar you'll lose the blues in Chicago
Chicago, the town that Billy Sunday couldn't shut downOn State Street, that great street, I just want to say
They do things they don't do on Broadway
They have the time, the time of their life
I saw a man, he danced with his wife
In Chicago, Chicago........

I see that this calculator is good for pointing out a common writing flaw, and one that I am apparently guilty of, namely run-on sentences, which I'll have to watch myself on, seeing as how the average sentence length in one of my recently calculated posts registered at the amazingly lengthy and verbose 43+ words per sentence, which is far longer than a good sentence ought to be, according to what I've learned about good writing practices, wouldn't you agree?

Dr. Bob we both like 13 year olds. I checked your readability score too. I say increase spending on education NOW.
