OK, I officially shout out and ask for a board to discuss theological issues - i have seen this work wonderfully on other sites (indeed, I "own" one such board at another site!!)
It will be open to everyone, like PB and PSB are. This way no one is excluded.
Who else thinks this is a good answer... Those that find it offensive can avoid it this way, yet those that really wish to discuss it can do so without fearing offence.
OK, we seem to be getting an awful lot of boards these days, but hey, what difference will one more make!! :o)

But one particular prostletizer has already said he found it segregationist and wouldn't post on such a board! What then? Do we re-direct, like we do if someone mentions a meds issue on the Social board?
Just some musings, Nikki, I haven't really thought it through too much... I have no aversion to as many Boards as Bob wishes to administrate... I love the reunion boards...

Hhe reckons it is segragational?? Oh my...
How CAN it be segragational is everyone is allowed to post on it... Surely to make it segragational you would have to limit who was able to post there...
I'm lost.. I don't underdstand how something this simple could offend!!!

I think it's a great idea (and wish it had been implemented on other boards I've seen). . .but in this case, wouldn't it be "handling" a problem, and I don't think the people concerned want to go there, I think the point is to stay with us.
My concern is about whether this poster or other posters are in the first place coming here for our shared purpose! If they're not, why not ask them nicely to find a board on *their* subject. I don't get it.
I especially don't get it when that poster upsets board members. I don't think it's enough --and I don't think it's appropriate--to just tell them not to be upset.
Sorry, going off topic. Any thoughts?

I sugggest that it could be of value for you to point out ,lets say on my most recent post in the Gates, what disturbs you and lets put it out in the open and discuss it. I believe that the purpose of the board will be achieved, for it is about people, and people can be upset. But if we reason together about what it is, then we can grow and , perhaps, have something good come out of it.

I am NOT posting. :) I will never be able to take a "real" break from the board...
yes, yes, I would love a theology/philosophy board here. there are, of course, many on the internet, but here it comes from a base of mentally ill (I think I may start saying "differently abled" :)), so there's a different perspective. Folks who haven't had the struggles we have, are going to have different views re: the importance, etc. of religion/ethics...
