> You have created a site where a very high level of discussion takes place. There is an exceptional group of minds posting their views here. In the midst of a revolution of information, It would be sad if you had to limit the options available to us, due to political, and/or administrative pressure. Rules were meant to be stretched. Those that break, are usually found to be too inflexible to start with!
Well, there need to be limits to revolutions, too.
And it's not like I'm big on rules, the more rules there are, the more work it is for me, you know. But I guess my hypothesis would be that it's *because* of the rules that there's such a very high level of discussion here.
You're free to stretch the rules, but you may be blocked if you break them. I mean, if they're too inflexible. :-)

Another factor of the information revolution is that there are hundreds (thousands?) of other discussion forums on the net, many with virtually no rules.
So there is a choice of using one of them instead if the (minimal) rules are a problem on this one.
