new indicators

Posted by akc on December 8, 2001, at 21:53:23

This is really no big deal, but for the past week or so, when I visit between pages sometimes, I get "repeat" new indicators. That is, items that I have even gone as far as to read on earlier visits are showing up as "new" when I come back later. Thought there might be a small glitch -- and I know small things can become bigger in the computer world.

This has come up before, and I suppose will keep coming up, so I finally did add something to the FAQ:

Will somebody let me know if I got the Microsoft section wrong? Also, we have Windows NT at work, and I couldn't find a Disk Cleanup option there, is it called something different?

akc,

I'm curious, are the indicators only on your own posts and do they only show up on the first revisit? This is what's been happening to me. When I go back the second time, they're gone.
