technical question about correcting posts

Posted by ksvt on December 5, 2000, at 21:20:13

To submit a post, you enter it, hit the "submit" button and your post then appears for you to review. At this point you can finalize your submission. I find it very difficult to review my posts in the "box" provided and always seem to miss alot of typos etc. Is there anyway to correct a post after it has gone through the first submission stage or do you have to go back and start all over again? ksvt

If I am understanding your question correctly, you want to correct typos you have found in your post on the preview screen. This is what I do (I don't know if this is the "official" way, but it works!).

If you find an error in the preview, use the back button on your browser (I know this works with IE, haven't tried it with Netscape, but it should work) to go back to the original white box where you typed the response. Whatever was originally submitted will still be there, so you can just make whatever changes are necessary.

After making all the corrections, click on "Submit" again to return to the preview screen. At this point, you can either finalize the post or use the back button yet again (I have had to do this!) to correct more mistakes.

I hope this helps (and I REALLY hope this is what you meant!)
