For reasons of confidentiality and security, I am considering re-registering here under a different name and with a different email address. Is there any way to "unregister" my current posting name and email address? ksvt

Just stop using it? What did you have in mind for unregistration to accomplish?

Dr. Bob,
I was thinking something similar to ksvt because I have always regreted using a derivation of my real name, and my regular e-mail address. Because my profession is very public where I live and I have talked in at least one post about what it is and what area I live in, I feel a bit vulnerable to the possibility that one of my clients may wander on this board. And in case anyone decided to inundate me with posts (negative or otherwise), I can't change my e-mail address because it is printed on business cards.
So I don't really understand your answer to ksvt. I assumed you would have to unregister then reregister because if you just registered under a different name, you would have two handles, and I thought that was not allowed.
Are you saying it's okay to have two handles as long as you only use one?
