Hi all,

I was finally discharged from the hospital, and I just caught up with Psycho-Babble.

I'm glad to see that at least some of you have stuck around here, especially Scott (SLS) and Hugh. The site seems to be behaving very erratically. Sometimes, connections time out, sometimes there is a problem with security, and sometimes it works just fine. This changes several times a day.

I'm now on the maximum dose of vortioxetine, but the last 1 or 2 dose increases did not seem to improve efficacy. Next, I want to substitute trimipramine with nortriptyline.

Yeah, this site has been behaving erratically for over a month. I hope Dr. Bob fixes it soon.

Hi, UD.

I wrote a long-winded reply, but it got lost in the cloud.

To summarize, "standard" aminergic antidepressants don't usually begin truly working until you are one them for:

1. Uncommon - 2-3 weeks.
2. Common - 4-8 weeks.
3. Uncommon - 8-12 weeks

Please don't think like those who left here. Else, you will never get well with any of these drugs.

With ketamine, esketamine, and psilocybin, the time until response can take 1-5 days.


Were I to relapse, I would want to add psilocybin - either daily microdoses or full therapeutic dosages every 3-5 days - to the the four drugs I'm currently taking. Presumably, these drugs will create enough neuroplasticity for my current therapy to "recapture" the antidepressant responce.

Atypical neuroleptics can be additive as an adjunct within a week.
